My name is Joseph Wright and I have successfully built businesses online since 2012. I sincerely hope you find great value in this blog post I’m writing to you. Insight like what I will teach about today have had tremendous impact on my life. You do not have to be a statistic. You can emulate my successes! It’s now time to enjoy How To Brand Yourself Using Facebook?!
Facebook has been instrumental to the success of my company online since I started back in 2012. When I first started my business, I was not even on any social media platforms. I actually created my Facebook account for one reason, to re-connect to all my old friends in hopes that one day they would choose to purchase the products I was selling. This was recommended to me by one of my first business coaches. Lets get started into How To Brand Yourself Using Facebook!
How to brand yourself using Facebook? I am going to give you a step by step process so you can do this for yourself or your business. If you have been using Facebook for just personal reasons up to this point, you first need to completely change your perception about Facebook. Today, Facebook is a massive platform for any business to brand themselves and put themselves in front of their fans often. This is a key for effective marketing. Your potential customers have to see your brand often so that way when they have a need for your product, service, or opportunity they will know how to find you!
You will need to create a Free, business fanpage. This will allow you to only talk about your business to people interested in hearing about it or people who are following you. Once you create this page, invite all of your friends to “like” your business fanpage. Now you can keep your personal page, personal and your business page can combine personal and business. This keeps people from unfriending you on your personal page. One mistake I see many people making on Facebook is they are using their personal page to promote their business. This will cause people to either unfriend you or block your posts so that they are still your friend but they will never see your posts.
As an example, as I write this post I have over 4600 Facebook fans on my business page. Only about 320 of them are my friends on my personal page. I have over 900 friends on my personal page. This means about 600 of my friends do not want to see or hear anything about my business! When you use your personal page, you are forcing people to see your business even though they do not want to. This is why they block or unfriend you! How To Brand Yourself Using Facebook was written to help you alleviate this!
Now that you have created your business fanpage and invited your friends to join you its now time to start building your target market. Facebook will allow you to narrow down your target audience to a very defined audience. You will then set a desired monthly budget to start advertising your business fanpage to your target market to increase your fanpage likes! This is how you will build your fan base which they will ultimately turn into your customers. An effective ad campaign targeted to the right audience should not be expensive at all. You should be able to gain fan page likes at $.25 or less if you have your ads targeted properly. Many times I am able to gain fans around $.15 or less! So if you set a monthly budget around $50 per month exclusively for gaining more targeted fans, you should expect to gain around 200 fans every month. If you were to keep this up for 18 months you should have around 3600 fans at this point. My recommendation is to increase your budget to gain fans more quickly once you start moving into profitablility in your business. This will quickly enhance the timeframe to get to 10K or 20K fanpage likes! Once you get a fanpage built to this level, the odds of getting your posts to really go viral greatly increase! Now are you starting to understand how to brand yourself using Facebook?
The last step in the process is to post to your business page every single day. You should space out your posts. By this I mean, don’t post 3 or 4 posts at the same time. Its much more effective and you will get greater reach if you instead posted at say 8am, 11am, 2pm, and 5pm. Space them out instead of posting all at once. One little secret I love about Facebook for people building part time businesses who work full time still is this, you can sit down every day for about 30 minutes and create 3 or 4 posts and then schedule them with Facebook to publish at whatever time you want them published! This is huge leverage and you cannot due this on your personal page! This will allow it to appear as though you are in your office posting every couple of hours even though you are at work! Once people start to engage in your posts by commenting, sharing, likeing, or tagging people, make sure you acknowledge this! Everyone likes to be acknowledged and these actions greatly impact the reach of everyone of your posts. Acknowledging them will encourage them to continue these actions on future posts!
